History
Robert C. Bertelsen founded A Plus Powder Coaters, Inc. in June of 1996. It all started in April 1996 when he had a need for some powder coating. When he found no one in the area could do his job in a timely manner, he decided to investigate the powder coating process. He spent most of April and May learning all he could about powder coating. It was during this time he was introduced to PCI (Powder Coating Institute). A Plus Powder Coaters, Inc. has been a member in good standing since 1996 and Robert now serves on their custom coater’s steering committee. In June of 1996, he incorporated A Plus Powder Coaters, Inc. and started the process of building our first building and system. The first building was 75 feet wide and 150 feet long. In March 1997 we started production with a conveyorized system for larger production runs and a batch system for smaller runs and proto types. We have expanded 4 times since we started and now have a 40,000 square feet facility located on 6 acres in Columbiana Ohio. In 2005 we added our large blast room with reclaim system.

Facility
A Plus Powder Coaters, Inc. currently has 40,000 square feet of production and office space. We are situated on a 4 acre plot with plenty of room to expand. We also own 2 acres across from our facility for future growth. We welcome potential customers to come and tour our facility, as we believe once you see how we do powder coating and media blasting, you never go anywhere else.
